Carpal Tunnel - Post Op...

Well, this was last week when Steve had his stitches removed and we saw the work up close and personal for the first time...

This 1st picture is obviously of his yucky, dirty bandages... eeeeuuuu!

This one is after the wrap removal.... you can still see the "Yes" written on his forearm indicating that is the correct arm to operate on....

During the stitch removal....

Stitches... all gone!

This is now one week post-stitch removal.... lookin' better... well the incision, anyway. It has quite a ways to go before the thumb looks normal, if it ever does regenerate and come back. He'll be wearing a wrist brace for another week or so.

Surgery is scheduled for the left hand on July 1st... We'll be glad when this is all done and he's back to 'not helpless'!

ED, that looks awful!!Have you been able to get any use out of it yet? Can I guess you are climbing the wall? Have you re-read all your Zane Grey and Louis Lamours??? Wish I were closer so I could loan mine to you again! Get well soon!!!!!

Dear Tina,

Great blog today. My mom is going to have that surgery on Thursday, so maybe I shouldn't show her these pictures yet. We're glad you love our traditions as much as we do! You might want to edit the pipe bomb thing because that's illegal, and we don't want dad in trouble. We always refer to it as firing the anvil. Otherwise people freak out. Thanks much and Love you guys!
