Strange & Unexpected Findings...

Do you believe in coincidences? Usually I don't. But I can't explain what happened the other day.
About 4 weeks ago on Steve's way out of town to board a plane bound for St. Louis to work for our son-in-law, Gary, along with our son Tim and another guy, he stopped at a little 2nd hand store in Heber to buy a few books to read on the trip...
The book shown below was one of them... Nothing special about this book, right? WRONG!!! Four weeks later, Steve starts reading this book... after a couple of days reading it, something amazing fell out of it....This plane ticket stub!!! It is the stub for the flight our daughter, Kristi, took... her last plane trip, her last vacation, some of the last days she was well and active.... She flew back east to visit some very close friends and to celebrate the birthday, as a surprise, of one of them....
Within just a week or so, she was experiencing a lot of pain in her neck and back that she couldn't explain....
Within another couple of weeks, the diagnosis was made.... In February 2005, her breast cancer was back and had metastasized, following surgeries, radiation, chemo... all the necessary treatments during the last year, plus a clean scan just a few months earlier in the fall . The cancer had returned with a vengeance!!! The doctors said it might, and if it did, there would be nothing they could do to control it as it had been an extremely aggressive type. The entire length of her spine and many other places in her body were engulfed in cancer. In February this diagnosis was given, and on April 27, 2005, Kristi fell victim to this dreaded and hateful disease....
What an amazing surprise it was for us to see that ticket stub fall out of that book.... WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF THAT HAPPENING???!! How did it get to the little store in Heber, Arizona? And what were the chances that out of the hundreds of books in that store, Steve would reach for that book?
Whatever it is... Something divine? A coincidence? Whatever it is, we are grateful to have had this experience....
Thank you, Whoever was responsible for this event... and for whatever reason....
Thank You!

VERY VERY VERY VERY COOL!!!!!

I love how you scanned it to show us. That is just the most amazing thing I've ever heard! YAY! I bet you felt really close to your daughter that day. She must really love you & have been thinking about you. What's also cool is that she apparently read that book on that trip, so she & her Daddy must have the same taste!

Thanks for sharing!

That gave me goose bumps! I agree with all the stated sentiments and am totally convinced there are no coincidences ~ there was a reason Steve chose that book, and there is
a reason it was in that book store for him to choose. What the reason is is probably his own in his own heart;that peaceful assurance that all is well with her and she is wanting to bond with him even more. Whatever, it is truly a gift from God to treasure.
Do Chara, Juanita Love you guys.
