Last January, my Utah friend... now moved to California--- Erika Ward posted on her blog a great money-saving idea about this stuff. As good as it is, we all know that Dawn is one of the pricier liquid soaps, and this product is even more than that, (it's still worth it!). There is a refill bottle you can buy, but it's not cheap either. This is where Erika comes in. She fiddled around a little with the mixture proportions and found that only 1/8 inch of regular liquid Dawn in the bottom of your emptied Dawn Direct Foam bottle filled the rest of the way with water, shaken or swirled gently to combine is perfect and WAY CHEAP!!! One regular bottle of Dawn liquid will last .... well, like FOREVER!!! I'm sure you can decide for yourselves if 1/8 is enough or too much... some people like to use it as a hand soap, but the original strength is a little too 'soapy' so they dilute it down some. Whatever and however you like it... this is a marvelous idea and outstanding product. Try it if you haven't. You'll LOVE it!!!I'd really enjoy hearing what you guys have to say about this stuff.... I kind of wish I wasn't such a tightwad because I wouldn't mind having an extra couple of these bottles for my bathrooms for the diluted hand-soap version. oh well.....
Hope you're all enjoying your Summer.

I like this stuff too. We used it and went through a lot of it as hand soap and dish soap on our kitchen sink, but now we have the built in soap dispenser and it won't work. Bummer.
I have the built-in soap dispenser, too, but I have this stuff on the side as well. I use the built-in sometimes for a sinkful of dishes and the Dawn for one or a few-at-a-time things. Works for me...
Wow...you really love this soap. I'll have to try some! I just buy the 'non-foaming' Dawn. I think I'm missing out!
Uh...I don't know about the soap, but you really should make sure the makers of DAWN see your commercial. They'll hire you on the spot, you'll make tons of money, and then hire a MAID to do your dishes.
I buy Dawn for RS functions, and at work to put in one of those little dispensers, but never used at home ~ will try it!!! Thanks to you and Erika for the tips.
