Big doings at the Senior Center!

It seems I'm settling into my life as a wantabe 'senior' just fine... haha! Today a bunch of my friends from the Ward met at the Senior Center in Overgaard for lunch... The food was yummy and the company fun. I was pleased that there was a reasonably priced place to have a nice lunch but found out that because I'm not over 60, the price wasn't quite as good... dang! Oh well... maybe not being over 60 is ok, too! :>)

This is a great group of people... really GOOD people...
From left to right: Sydney Barnett, Marvin & Kay Peterson, Betty Jane Greer & her friend of 50 years from Washington State, Linnie Griffin, me and Leah Parham.

Besides these friends, lunch consisted of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and sausage gravy, green beans, salad bar, cake & ice cream.

This is a neat place for people who need people in their lives. They arrange shopping trips, outings to the casinos around the area, there's a little thrift shop on site, meals on wheels, etc. The people who run this establishment are devoted to serving the seniors of Heber/Overgaard.
